I did not have time to write about James Bamford's new book: The Shadow Factory: The Ultra-secret NSA from 9/11 to the Eavesdroppoing on America. It needed a better editor: it reads like a collection of articles put together in a book form. It does not flow like a book. But it contains a wealth of information and it gives an updated version of the real work of NSA (to be supplemented with the author's two previous books on the NSA). It is the most detailed and damning record of internal espoionage of this administration--likely to continue under Obama given his recent vote in the US Senate. But what is most REFRESHING about this book is this: this is a rare mainstream reporter who refers to Israel with disgust and detestation. He does not even hide his contempt for Israel and its crimes. He has a whole chapter of Israeli links to the espoionage industry in the US.
